Course Hours:
Monday-Friday From 9:00am- 4:00 PM. On Saturday there is a show for the parents, the time will be announced during the week of camp.

Cost of Course:
$400.00 a week, unless signing up for the shortened week which is $350.00 total- there is a $150.00 non refundable deposit due at the time of registration, with the balance being due the first day of camp.

If you enroll for 2 weeks or have a second child the cost for the second enrollment is $350.00

How Do you Register

Call or e-mail us with the week you would like and we will send you the proper registration forms or you can come out and get them. Your deposit can either 

be mailed  in or you can call and reserve a spot paying via credit card.

At Rushlow’s we offer a wide variety of programs, geared towards riders of all ages and skill levels.  Lessons are provided six days a week, as well as Week Long Horsemanship Courses being offered.

Horsemanship Course focuses on safety first and foremost, then on having fun and last but not least, on learning.  Typically we fill up-so make sure you hold your spot right away.

Horsemanship Courses

For individuals ages 6 and above we offer a six day horsemanship course in the Summer.  Our complete program is great for individuals of all levels, be it the person has never ridden or the ones who ride weekly.  We teach riding, horsemanship and horse care under the supervision of our professional trainers, our knowledgeable instructors, and their helpers.  Classes are broken up into small interactive groups.  On Saturday of the Course a horse show is conducted so parents can see what their children have learned.

    Basic Horsemanship fundamentals 

    (grooming, tacking up and basic horse care)

    Identify different horse breeds and learn parts of horse

    Barn and horse safety

    Horse psychology and why they do funny things

    Different riding styles- English and Western

    Proper mounting and dismounting

   Proper positioning on horse and proper posture

   Watch live demonstrations by trainers

   Learn about taking care of your horse    

   Basic jumping techniques

   Participate in a drill team

   Participate in a trail course

   Hook up and drive a horse & cart

   Introduction to some dressage moves

   Trailer safety

   Stable Management
